An Amish boy and his father were in a Multi Level Shopping Centre for the very first time. They were amazed by everything they saw, but especially by these two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again. The boy asked, “What is this, Father?” The Father (never having seen an elevator) responded, “Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life. I don’t know what it is?”. While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a large elderly lady in a wheelchair moved up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened up and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls then closed and the boy and his father watched the small circular numbers above the walls light up sequentially. They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light up in the reverse order. Finally the walls opened up again and an absolutely gorgeous 24-year-old blonde stepped out. The Father said quietly to his Son…..”Go get your Mother.”

VH2H – Head to Head Betting

VICBET H2H Betting is unique to us and is available every race day and night in two groups of three. It is the three Favourites (1st, 2nd and 3rd) combined in one H2H outcome and the second H2H is the 4th, 5th and 6th Favourites combined, excluding the Fav if it is Odds-on (under $2). This is a moving dynamic market so as the odds change for the actual race the odds will change for the H2H outcome. Also, you can pick your own H2H outcome, then simply go to our Live Chat or WhatsApp Tim Cleary (0433-339347) and he will price it up for you….

Most people like going to the movies, there is an upcoming movie many of you might to see – “Dream Horse”. The inspiring story of a small Welsh town that banded together to raise a winning racehorse, based on the true story of Jan Vokes, played by Australia’s own Toni Collete. With very little money and no experience, Jan Vokes (Toni Collette) convinces her neighbours to chip in their meagre earnings to help raise Dream and compete with the racing elites. Their investment pays off as Dream rises through the ranks and becomes a beacon of hope in their struggling community. To watch the Trailer – CLICK HERE.

The BTC Cup is now known as the Group 1 Kingsford Smith Cup and is no longer the first Group 1 race held at the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival. Instead, from 2017 onwards it runs a fortnight after its former spot on the carnival line-up and when moved from Doomben Racecourse to Eagle Farm Racecourse it was renamed after Australian aviator Charles Kingsford Smith. For the 2013 running of the BTC Cup the race was moved to neighbouring Eagle Farm Racecourse and this track is the race’s new permanent home. Formerly run over 1,200m, the new-look Kingsford Smith Cup is contested in late May over 1,300m and remains a weight-for-age (WFA) event. Offering $700k in prize money the race now serves as a final stepping stone into Queensland’s richest race – the $1.5 million Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1,400m). The new lead-up race into the Kingsford Smith Cup field is the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1,200m) a fortnight earlier. Many top horses, usually locally-trained, have run and won the BTC Cup over the years but none as notable as the mighty Black Caviar who travelled to Queensland to take out the classic over Hay List back in 2011 attracting a capacity crowd at Doomben decked out in her famous salmon and black polka dot colours. Other notable winners apart from Black Caviar include Strawberry Road (1983), St. Jude (1991), Chief De Beers (1996), General Nediym (1998), Falvelon (2000 and 2003) and last race winner The Bostonian (2019)….The 2020 version was not held due to the COVID-19 Pandemic……Watch Black Caviar in action is 2011 – CLICK HERE…..

Many people think we are one of those Corporate outfits but that is not the case. With an emphasis on Horse Racing solely we are the Old Fashioned type of Bookmakers (four generations going back to 1941) concentrating purely on Horse Racing, no Sports, Harness or Greyhounds . My Late Father Allen Cleary was a Bookmaker from 1956 – 2006, his Uncle Bob was a Bookmaker from 1941 – 1961. Today it is myself Rod and my Son Tim sharing the reins. We are NOT Corporates, we work occasionally On Course at the Melbourne Metro Meetings on the Rails, however the vast majority of our turnover is Online. Once again your referrals are always very much appreciated and one of the main sources of us sourcing new Clients so thanks very much in advance…..

If you are new to VICBET in recent times a big welcome, if you have had an established account and have misplaced your login details, jump on the Live Chat, reply here to the VNEWS  or FREECALL 1300-126126…… We will forward your details to you by text and email…..

Finally we are the only Bookmaker doing the Best of the Best (BOB) on all Australian Mainland Race Meetings seven days a week plus we offer a service on Overseas races through to about 3am every night……

Good Luck and Happy Punting…….
