On Friday we kick off with another Moonee Valley Night Meeting with the Group 2 Alister Clark Stakes being the highlight, plus Ascot is holding a Metropolitan Friday twilight meeting at the same time. Flemington hosts the Group 2 Blamey Stakes with Black Heart Bart back in action… And the action doesn’t end there!
On Sunday we have the $100k Yarra Valley Cup ,Tatura Cup, $120k Bunbury Stakes, the $150k Country Championship Qualifier at Albury and finally we have the Group 1 Hong Kong Derby at Sha Tin headed by the very much in form favourite Rapper Dragon…

The action hots up early this week with three Group Ones and one Group 2 from Ellerslie having been transferred from Saturday to today! We have the Group 1 Sistema Stakes for 3 y-o’s, the Group 1 New Zealand Stakes over 2,000m at WFA featuring Group one winners Kawi and Volkstok n Barrell and finally the time honoured Group 1 Auckland Cup over 3,200m.
At Rosehill we see Winx (we are currently $1.20 Fixed) step out to extend her amazing streak to 16 in a row in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes. Her arch rival Hartnell has avoided her this week and will go around a short price in the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes the race prior.
Following these great races we have yet another great race with the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas for 3 y-o’s, then the $3.5 Million Golden Slipper for 2 y-os! But wait there’s more! How about the Group 1 Galaxy Stakes over 1,100m for the sprinters the race after!
We also have two more Group 2’s and a Group 3 and if that’s not enough action for you, with Gosford being abandoned on Wednesday we close out the program with a $150k Provincial Championships Qualifier as Race 10, having been transferred from Wednesday. Phew, you better save up some bullets to take us on. Worry about less important things like bills, food etc later!
